Oak Ridge North and Shenandoah both sit on I-45. Our base in Spring 77386 is just east of the freeway. So these two cities are close to home for us, and that changes what we can offer you.
They’re small. Oak Ridge North has 3,057 people, Teddy Bear Park and Oak Ridge High School. Shenandoah has 3,499 people, Portofino Shopping Center, Metropark Square and David Memorial Drive. Same freeway, but the roofs in these two towns are not the same age. That’s the first thing to sort out.
Oak Ridge North: the house is older than the roof
Oak Ridge North started as a subdivision in 1964. A house from back then has almost surely had a new roof or two since. So here, the age of the house tells you very little. The age of the roof is what counts.
Don’t know it? Look at your closing papers or the inspection report from when you bought the house. The roof’s age is often in there. If it’s not, Chris will tell you what the shingles show. How much grit is left. Whether the edges curl. Whether they still bend.
A roof that’s ten or older and still sound is in the window Bright Green Roof gives for roof rejuvenation. One that leaks, or has cracked or bald shingles, needs a roofer, and we’ll tell you so.
Shenandoah: young roofs, early care
Shenandoah grew 64% from 2010 to 2020, according to its Wikipedia page. If your house went up in those years and still has its first roof, that roof is somewhere between 6 and 16 years old now.
That’s a good time to think about it. Bright Green Roof says to start at the five-year mark, while the shingle still holds most of its oils. A treatment then keeps the shingle bending, instead of trying to bring back one that has already gone stiff. It can go on up to three times over a roof’s life, so an early start still leaves room for more later.

Close enough for a yearly visit
Because you’re close to our base, the C&D Annual Roof Checkup is an easy fit here. Once a year we come back. We photograph every slope, clear the needles and leaves off the roof, clean out the gutters, and send you the photos with a short note.
It includes a storm check, too. On April 5, 2023, a Houston roofer’s hail list records hail 2.0 inches across in Fort Bend, Harris and Montgomery counties. Both of these cities are in Montgomery County. After a day like that, we come take a look, and you get photos you can share with your insurance agent if you need them.
If gutters are all you need, we do gutter cleaning on its own. Closer to The Woodlands or Spring? The Woodlands and Spring have their own pages. Otherwise, book the free roof inspection, or call or text (281) 466-7436.
Common questions
My Oak Ridge North house is from the 1960s. Is the roof too old?
The house’s age doesn’t decide it. The roof’s age and shape do. Your house has likely had at least one new roof since it was built. Bright Green Roof says a roof past twenty can still qualify if it’s sound, with flat shingles, most of the grit still there and no leaks. Chris checks for free and shows you the photos.
Is my Shenandoah roof too new to treat?
If it’s under five years old, it’s too new for now. Bright Green Roof says to start at the five-year mark. Between five and ten is a good time to begin, while the shingle still has most of its oils. A free look now tells you where your roof stands and roughly when to plan the treatment.
What does the C&D Annual Roof Checkup cost?
It’s priced per visit, and the price depends on your roof. Its size, how steep it is, and how much the trees drop on it all count. Ask Chris for a number at your free assessment. In Oak Ridge North and Shenandoah, a yearly visit is easy for us to fit in, since you’re so close to our base.
