Roof rejuvenation is a treatment for an asphalt shingle roof that the sun has dried out. We wash the roof, then spray on a plant-based oil that soaks into the shingles and restores their flexibility.
It also goes by shingle preservation or roof restoration. Same job, different label. It’s the idea behind our slogan: “Don’t Replace. Restore.”
What it isn’t
It isn’t a new roof. Nothing gets torn off, and nothing gets nailed on.
It isn’t paint, a coating or a sealant. Those sit on top of a shingle like a skin. This oil goes into the shingle instead. Our page on how roof rejuvenation works shows the difference.
It isn’t a repair either. It won’t stop a leak or replace a missing shingle. If Chris finds a problem like that, he’ll show you the photo and point you to a roofer.
Who it’s for
Asphalt shingle roofs that look tired but still keep the rain out. A faded, dry roof is the usual fit. A roof that leaks or is coming apart is not, and we’ll tell you so.
Chris started C&D after watching homeowners get pushed into new roofs they didn’t need. A dry roof isn’t always a dead roof. Our candidate checklist helps you tell which one you have.
The product we use is Bright Green Roof. It carries the USDA Certified Biobased Product label. The Bright Green Roof FAQ covers its warranty and how many times a roof can be treated.

What people ask next
- Will it stop a leak? No. A leak needs a roofer. Here’s why a treatment can’t fix one.
- What does it cost? $1.00 to $1.50 per square foot of roof, with the cleaning included. You can price your own roof in a minute.
- How many years does it add? Bright Green Roof’s rating is up to ten years per application. Your roof’s condition sets the real number, and this page explains why.
Our roof rejuvenation page has the price, the process and the warranty in one place. Or skip the reading and book a free roof assessment, and Chris will look at yours. Call or text (281) 466-7436.
